Ghanaian actor Osuman Idrees, widely recognized as Yogot from the beloved comedy series Junka Town, has passed away. Reports indicate that Yogot died on the morning of Tuesday, June 11. The cause of his death remains undisclosed.
Judge Abeka, a fellow actor from Junka Town, confirmed the tragic news during an interview with Connect FM in Takoradi on Tuesday, June 11. He mentioned that Yogot appeared strong and healthy, only mentioning a minor boil on his body.
"He wasn’t seriously ill; it was a minor issue. He had a normal boil and it wasn’t like he had been sick for a long time," Abeka said. Yogot left behind a wife and two children. Highlife musician Nero X also expressed his condolences and shared the news of Yogot’s passing on Facebook.
Yogot gained fame through his role in Junka Town, a comedy series filmed in Effiakuma, Takoradi, in the Western Region. The show spotlighted numerous talented actors, including Too Much and Atemuda.
