A man from Mexico has kept the internet buzzing after he recently walked the aisle with a seven (7) year old crocodile which is named the ‘little princess’ and ascertained that the reptile is ‘the love of his life’. Mr. San Pedro is not the first or only human to tie the knot with an animal as many other people, both male and female all over the world where the practice of human-animal marriage or zoophilia is allowed.
An American man, Mark Matthews married his pony in 1992 as he preferred the relationship between him and the pony to that of another human being. Also in 2003, a young lady from India by name Karnamoni Handsa got married to a stray dog as part of a ritual to ward off an evil spirit and forty-one (41) year old female millionaire, Shawn Tender married a dolphin named Cindy in a resort at Israeli. The list of other people having human-animal marriages from fluffy dogs to cold-blooded reptiles ran on and on in human history.
Even though human-animal marriage is not specifically emphasized on in National laws, the practice is illegal in many other countries and such acts are treated under animal abuse. In Mexico and other European countries however, such matrimonies are legal and thus, many people prefer the union of animals to that of other people.
Mr. San Pedro's marriage with ‘little princess’, which he says is unconditional was observed by family and friends of the man who heaped him and his bride with a car, house, money and other gifts as a form of congratulating them on tying the knot together.
