How To Check And Verify The Number Of Sim Cards Linked To Your Ghana Card

The Ghana National Communications Authority (NCA), has issued a new mobile short code to help all sim card users check and verify the number of sim cards linked to their ECOWAS or Ghana Card. The short code, which was released on the 1st of May, 2023 is to assist users of sim cards and who have linked their Ghana Card's to them to know the types and number of SIMs linked to their it. This short code was released as it has come to light that many Ghana Cards linked to other sim cards are not that of the owners to make sim card users become vigilant of the types and number of SIMs linked to their Ghana Card and to verify whether that sim cards is theirs or not. To check your Ghana Card using the short code, go to your phone's dial pad and follow the instructions below:

- Dial *402# and call 

- Reply with Option 1 (Check SIMs)

- Reply by inputting the ID number of your ECOWAS/Ghana Card with the dashes (eg: GHA-xxxxxxxxx-x)

- Reply with your date of birth with NO spaces or special symbol (eg: 01021999)

- Wait for a few seconds for message and check inbox for the number of SIMs linked to your Ghana Card.
