When it comes to the issue of people impacting their lives and those of others, men are usually the centre of attraction but there are many women out there who have proved the old adage that “what a man can do, a woman can do better ” and these young women have proved more than that.


I bring to you today some beautiful, intelligent and elegant women who have showcased their talents not only in their motherland but also beyond their comfort zones.





i. Edzordzinam Agrosah

Edzordzinam Agrosah is an iconic fashion designer and goes by the name of ‘Miss Ivy’ has two amazing brands to her name. She is the CEO of the Bespoke Clothline and a ready to wear brand, The Bloom by EDZI.

She graduated from the University of Development Studies where she studied accounting and then moved into full-time fashion designing after graduation. She has won many prestigious awards including ‘Accra Mall Future Fashion Fund’ in 2020.




ii. Kafui Praise

Born Matilda Dogbatsey and goes by the brand name of Kafui Praise. She is a young photography, videographer and a documentary filmmaker. She has won many awards for her creative efforts including The Ghana Startup Awrad for Arts, Culture and Tourism in 2016 and the Canon Woman For Change Award in 2021.




iii. Lassy Selasi

Selasi Afi Parku popularly known as ‘Lassy Selasi' is one of the most hard-working female entrepreneurs in Ghana trying to make a change in the country. She owns one of the finest bakery in the Volta Region and also owns her own sugar factory named ‘Mac-Tosh Deco and Sugar Craft Institution’.

She recently launched her own Cake and Eatery joint in Ho named the ‘Tash Cakeland and Eatery’. She recently won the award for the best entrepreneur of the year at the Volta Oti Entrepreneur of the year at the Volta Oti Entrepreneur Awards 2021.
