Kumasi-based rapper and composer, Derrick Sarfo Katanka, popularly known in the Ghanaian music industry as “Amerado” offered himself today to online trolls after he announced the release date of his much-anticipated album, “God Is Never Asleep (G.I.N.A.)” on his Facebook wall. Amerado posted the cover art of his album's tracklist with the caption “Official tracklist #GinaAlbum 25th October 2022”.
From a glance at the songs and featured artists on the project, one does not need to be told that it is a huge and great project. From the cover art release, Amerado has ten (10) songs on the album with eight (8) top-grossing featured artists. Some of them included ‘Fameye', ‘Lasmid’, ‘Eno Barony, ‘Epixode' and more.
Many of his Facebook fans and followers were very much excited as some of them had already chosen their favourite songs from the album even before its release. One user, Janet Kingston Walker commented “I can't wait to listen to track 4 nu.. got you by #Afiadelay Obiaa boa💞💯🙏”. Another user, Khogo Mhoose added, “Nyame dada ft Fameye is my favorite 💪🙏 YKA”.
As well-wishers congratulated him, the trollers would not let him be as some of them tried to drag and make fun of his past relationship with television hostess and entrepreneur, Deloris Frimpong Manso popularly known as “Delay” in the comments section as well. Among them was one Quadwo Mondhay who teasingly commented “Medofo ft. Delay. Where is that track boga” and London Mayor Kojo Mayborn also commented “Use Delay for the official video for the one you featured Efya”.
Many Ghanaians and lovers of ShowBiz are aware of the short lovey-dovey relationship which transpired between the rapper and hostess just a few months ago which triggered off a lot of controversies in the country as many Ghanaians were of the view that Delay was way older than Amerado and that their relationship was just not the right one but they broke up recently and are now cordially friends but even with that, some Ghanaian's won't allow sleeping dogs to lie as they try to ‘bully’ either Amerado or Delay at the least chance on social media. Below are screenshots from Amerado's post and the reactions of netizens. Check them out:
