It seems many Ghanaian top and upcoming musicians have began campaigning on the same agenda in the music industry, which is the lack of support from Ghanaian's. It is now becoming a norm for Ghanaian's to support and follow only musical acts when only they come out with a hit song and retract their support when they get fed up with the artist's music or when another musician releases a new hit song.

Even though many musicians have spoken about this issue on many different platforms, it seems many Ghanaian's pay no need to them as everyone is entitled to listen to whoever and whatever they want. One disturbing thing about this is Ghanaian's love for foreign or “non-Ghanain" music. Ghanaian's may or will support a foreign musician, either locally or internationally as long as the musician is not from Ghana and sometimes, these foreign artist's they support may release a song the same time a Ghanaian musician may also release a song and even though the song of the Ghanaian will sound relatable than the one of the foreign musician, Ghanaian's will listen to and promote the foreign song more than the song of their own countryman (or woman) and this behavior is slowly making foreign music take over the reins of the Ghana music industry.

One of Ghana's sensational singer and “Wind” crooner, Edoh Yat has recently shared his concern and lamentation over how Ghanaian's have turned their backs on him after realizing he shares the same nationality with them. Being a Ghanaian, Edoh Yat released “Wind” in 2021 which was written fu became an instant hit and gained him followers and listeners not only in Ghana but beyond it.

Edoh claims Ghanaian's, whose support he needed most in his musical career stopped giving him the needed support after finding out he is also a Ghanaian. He made this known on his verified 200K+ Facebook page, in a post which he captioned “I came unannounced with #Wind everyone was showing love till they realized I'm a Ghanaian 🇬🇭 they stop giving me support, my own country stop supporting me because I'm a Ghanaian 🇬🇭 wow, I'm sad bro 💔”. Below is his post and the comments he received from his followers:
